Company Story
Foundation and Background
MRI Automation was founded in 1999, inspired by the expansion of Endress+Hauser in North America. Seeing an opportunity to be at the forefront of growth with a recognized industry leader, MRI Automation was born. At the time, industries were transitioning from analog-based measurement systems to more accurate digital technologies. Recognizing this shift, MRI Automation aimed to provide cutting-edge automation solutions to meet the growing demand in South Texas.
Growth and Evolution
Over the past 25 years, MRI Automation has evolved significantly. Initially focused on sensing and measuring parameters like flow, level, and temperature, the company expanded into signal processing and systems integration. This growth led to a rebranding, from Measurement Resources to MRI Automation ensuring the company’s name accurately reflected its broader range of offerings.
A pivotal moment in MRI Automation’s history was the discovery of the Eagle Ford Shale, which significantly shaped the company’s path. Throughout its evolution, MRI Automation has adapted to industry changes, moving from analog to digital systems and leveraging advancements in low-powered circuitry and telemetry to enhance customer system and data management networks.
Client Success Stories
A defining moment for MRI Automation was the growth of the Eagle Ford Shale. One remarkable success story involved a client with a high-pressure pulsating pump that frequently destroyed sensors, leading to costly replacements and downtime. MRI Automation identified a lower-cost replacement, extending the run cycle tenfold and significantly reducing costs and increasing production. Further improvements doubled the runtimes again, solidifying MRI Automation as the client’s go-to solutions provider.
